Sebastien R. Goulet
Director
Sebastien Goulet levers broad based global sales, operations, and technical knowledge to drive business growth and operational excellence within culturally diverse global environments. With more than 16 years of diversified international experience leading complex US and global manufacturing organizations, he has delivered rapid growth and sustainable multi-million dollar results within industrial (aerospace, medical, transportation, energy, military, lighting, fitness) and high tech (electronic, connector) industries. In addition, Sebastien has worked with multiple Private Equity businesses.
Recognized for his expertise in global P&L management and operations, Sebastien developed scalable growth strategies and business plans to enter emerging global markets, drive mergers and acquisitions, and increase profitability through sales channel development, product mix optimization, and global sourcing strategies. To reduce costs, he developed leaner, more focused operating models, re-engineered business processes using Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methods, maximized the manufacturing footprint, and increased time to market performance and service delivery improvements. Sebastien moves easily among multifunctional/multicultural teams and has lived and worked in France, UK, Mexico, Canada, and the US.
Most recently, Sebastien served as Vice President and Director, Global Operations for ITT Cannon, a $380M global value center that designs, manufactures, and sells a broad range of highly-engineered interconnect devices and cable assemblies for harsh environment applications. He was responsible for profit and loss and total operations for nine facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia. Sebastien maximized the strategic business model, and executed strategic initiatives that facilitated sustainable growth, propelled multimillion dollar revenue gains, increased productivity, and generated traction in competitive global markets.
Prior to joining ITT Cannon, Sebastien was the Executive Vice President Industrial Strategies at Deutsch Connectors. He developed a global sourcing strategy and deployed new sales and marketing strategies that were at the center of the company’s China and India strategy. In addition, Sebastien created an improved industrial structure and developed innovative continuous improvement initiatives, generating significant cost savings worldwide.
Sebastien served as Senior Vice President Operations/GM Commercial Division for Nautilus for two years prior to joining Deutsch. He developed a strategy to focus sales on product features vs. volume, and successfully led the division to profitability for the first time in three years. He consolidated commercial distribution centers; reduced cost of goods sold; and increased product development through R&D and NPI process improvements. Sebastien held executive leadership positions at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics, Flakt Woods Group, and General Electric Company. He developed and deployed multi-cultural 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing across each company and implemented cost management and robust process improvement initiatives to transform underperforming businesses. Sebastien grew up in Montreal, Canada. He graduated from Syracuse University with dual Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and dual Masters Degrees in Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management. He achieved his Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Green Belt certification at GE and participated in their industry-leading Leadership Development Program. Sebastien is fluent in Spanish, French, and English. Sebastien was also a member of Canada’s National Swimming Team. He was recognized as the Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year, and held numerous records in Canada and the US. Sebastien resides in Encinitas, California.
